that's what www.dictionary.com said. Okay, may I ask. What is the point of making promises? Okay fine, they give the people assurance that a certain thing will happen. But what for? What if it gets broken? What happens to the assurance the promiser promises the promisee? *poof* gone?

To be blunt.

I HATE PROMISES.
What's the f***ing point of it all when in the end if not always they almost usually just get broken?  Breaking these promises just leaves the promisee feeling stupid about himself/herself for expecting so much.

They say "Hope for the best, expect the worst." Without promises, people wouldn't expect! Less expectations means less disappointments.

What also annoys me is the fact that when the promiser promises the promisee and the promiser fails to do what he/she has promised, the disappointed promisee doesn't really have much to do but to rub it in the promiser's face saying:

"you promised! you promised!"

okay now seriously, what does that do exactly? /:|

N-O-T-H-I-N-G. nothing.

The promiser just feels guilty and then what's next? In a few days' time, they just start to move on, as if nothing significant happened. More disappointment to the promisee.

Here's what else gets to me! I check my mental record and I realized that I haven't made a promise to a person and broken it (PM me if I have, I'll remove this right away). Why? Well, because I hardly ever make promises. All I'd usually say is, I'll try my best. Less expectations, less disappointments. So I've said that I haven't broken a promise. It's unfair. It's unfair because I've heard a lot of promises and they're usually broken.

What the friggin' hell did I do to deserve it? WHAT? I believe in the Golden Rule. I (almost) always go by it! I don't do unto others what i don't want others to do unto me because

I DON'T WANT OTHERS TO DO WHATEVER THERE IS TO BE DONE UNTO ME!

That's all i could say. I just don't get it. Is it so hard to say

"I don't promise but I will try." ?

bitches, I've already heard it before. Heck I've actually said it myself before. Why is it so hard?

Lots of angst. HAHA I actually am not sure where it came from. If it came frome *there* or *then* or *here*, I can't tell.
I think it's also because of all these STUPID REQUIREMENTS piling up like ice cream on a cone.

except that it's not even close to ice cream. That's the only simile i could think of right now.
Well, I'm done for now. My friggin' brain is tired. Just tired.
