-More chances to perform and happiness! I can never stress the happiness enough. :))

-Oh yes! I had so many painful lessons this year :) HAHAH

What was your biggest achievement of 2008?:

-Going to Singapore! My role in the recital, making it to the honor's list and winning the photojourn thing sa presscon :D YAY

What was your biggest failure?:

-Forgetting to love myself.

-YES.

-MY FIRST TWO MAJOR SHOPPING SPREES WITH MY OWN MONEY! :D

-YES. I became stronger and sorta jaded :P =)) HAHAHA !

-Food, clothes, and gimmicks :)

-No. I was happier last year :> If it weren't for my family and batchmates, this would have to be my saddest year :)) HAHAHA !

-I've seen sooo many good movies this year! :D Books, I haven't found the time to find good books. :|

-LOVING MYSELF DOES WONDERS! :))

-I turned 17. Nothing much happened on the day itself but the day before was AWESOME! Went to TimeZone with a few batchmates then had a party in Annapolis with most batchmates! It was THE BEST. :D

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?:

-If January didn't ruin my year :| HAHA

POLITICIANS THINK THEY CAN DO ANYTHING.

This is a picture of someone you'd think would help make the world (or if not, at least our country) a better place. CLICK THIS and you'll know what I mean. I found out about this from other blogs and I just couldn't contain myself.

I DON'T GET IT. Just because they get to add a plain word such as Congressman or Mayor or whatever, they become instant gods after election? How do they differ from regular people? Doing something as low as mauling a defenseless 56-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy because of a heated discussion isn't very becoming of a man whom people (who also happen to be taxpayers) entrust the betterment of their city to. Hmm well let alone any person at all! In the first place, he wouldn't even be in that position if the voters didn't choose him to be the mayor. This wasn't the first time I came across this story though. It's everywhere!

A few days ago, I watched One Night Only. I'm not really a fan of Filipino movies but seeing it as an entry to a Film Festival and an opportunity to support Philippine art, I watched it just the same. I was disappointed. Anyway let me just bring you to the part of the movie that is relevant to my blog. There was a scene where the mayor or some politician who couldn't get in the motel. He simply said who he was and breezed right in. Since when did the title come along with a pass go anywhere and do anything? Okay fine, politicians could be like the "royalties" of the country. But I believe that they are granted certain benefits because THESE PEOPLE EARN THEM. They make decisions to help make the country (or whatever they rule) progress. Benefits are things done in return. Power can blind people I guess. The thought is just frustrating. I believe that our country has all the potential in the world to grow, it's just that the people don't do anything great enough to make it happen.

Will it always be like this? They say that "Ang mga kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan" How can they do that if the elders don't provide them with enough examples and reasons to be "pag-asas ng bayan". In the blog, this mayor's father was also there (who happened to be a secretary of some Department. Pardon my ignorance) but instead of putting an end to the fight, let it go on as if it were a match between Pacquiao and de la Hoya. The elders, persuade their children to do the same things all over again. So when will the "pag-asas" come? How many generations will the country let pass? What happened to NOW?

Inefficiency isn't so bad...

...When it comes to getting my retainers :))
Hahaha when I got my retainers last April, my ortho warned me to NEVER EVER put them in a tissue roll/napkin when eating at a restaurant because I'd most likely lose them. She gave me this green shiny retainer case for me to put them in so that I won't lose or forget them.

"Your retainer case should be like your cellphone. BRING IT EVERYWHERE YOU GO."

I swear, she could never say it enough. She told me that she had patients who really had to dig through the trash to get back their retainers, because having them replaced would be crazy. They cost a whole lot of money. Everytime she'd mention that, I'd always shrug in my mind saying that I couldn't forget them ever.

HA HA HA. I was wrong.

I went Christmas shopping for myself. Four hours of going up and down, left and right was no joke. Four hours aren't enough you see, I need A LOT of time to decide so it was extra hard knowing that I only had so little time. When I had to meet up with the rest of my family I was pretty tired. We met up at Coffee Experience and mom let me eat Caramel Popcorn. I forgot my retainer case so I wrapped them in a piece of paper napkin so I could eat the popcorn. After eating them, we left the mall for home. I was the last to stand and even looked back to check if we forgot anything. Nothing. Okay great. It was a pretty long walk and as we were nearing the parking lot,

"OH SHOOT ! MY RETAINEEEEERS !"

I ran across the street (with a lot of cars I might add), up the escalator, around the mall and to Coffee Experience all the while trying to push away the image of me having to dig in the trash. I DID NOT WANT TO DO THAT OKAY. HAHA ! My heart was beating so hard as I got to the cafe, to our table. It still wasn't fixed up. BIG THANK GOD. I saw the paper napkin under the table, picked it up and went to the car.

Ha, who would've thought I'd be thankful that the people working there were lazy? :)) HAHA
