I Learned Something New About the World

It took three things to change my day and my life:

A tricycle

My 6300 cellphone

A hundred bucks.

I went to the Celebrity Sports Club with my majormates and Kuya Obi. After an afternoon of swimming, we headed home to Clyde's crib. We called a tricycle to take us to the main road.
Fast forward to the jeep around ten minutes away from where we were dropped off when I realized that my pocket was unusually light. After checking my pockets and bag, my eyes went O_o

"OH C**P, my phone's gone."

Let me rephrase that,

"OH C**P, my phone's gone. AGAIN!"

I swear I couldn't feel anything anymore. I couldn't believe it happened again only after losing my other phone four months ago. I couldn't imagine what my parents would say. After minutes of staring blankly into space, I snapped back to reality as I heard my friends talking to me about my phone. Janine was calling my phone and it kept on ringing.

I was 99.9% hopeless.

"Hello po?"
The tricycle driver answered it. I wasn't actually able to talk to him but then the next thing I knew, I was with Kuya Obi taking a jeep to the opposite direction. Everything went all so fast and I couldn't believe that I was actually going to see my phone again. Nevermind the thick clouds of smoke that I inevitably kept inhaling, all I could think of was the fact that there's hope!

We met up with Kuya Jun (whom I later learned was the Vice President of the TODA thing) and there he gave my phone with a really big smile.

KUYA JUN: Pabalik na ako nang narinig kong may tumutunog diyan (pointing at the side car).

some other kuya tricycle driver: Naku kung napunta yan sa ibang tricycle, siguradong napaginteresan yang cellphone mo! Mabait talaga yang si Vice!

I seriously felt like the luckiest person at that moment. We rode his tricycle on the way back to the main road. Kuya Obi whispered to me that it would be best to give him a token for thanks. Unfortunately, I was really running low on cash but I gave my hundred bill as payment and more. At that time that was the only thing I could give in return.

We took a cab going back and there was nothing but a big toothy smile plastered on my face. I just couldn't believe it.

THANK GOD FOR KUYA JUN AND HIS GOODNESS.
THANKS KUYA OBI FOR THE LOAD AND ACCOMPANYING ME.
THANKS JANINE FOR CALLING HIM.

I thought the world was nearly hopeless.
Kuya Jun made me think otherwise and see that there's still hope.
Wow, the world hasn't run out of good people afterall.

    OMG no ! If I lost it talaga nun, NO PHONE for me.
    That would be the second time I'd lose a phone and
    my parents won't get me one anymore =))
